The complete album + 2 bonus tracks - limited edition pressing on 180g vinyl, a Brian Morton 'Number One Essential' Recommendation. Armstrong and Duke Ellington together. Duke and Louis had known each other since the mid- twenties and were booked to play alternately on the same stage many times. However, their recorded collaborations prior to this album are truly scarce. This combo session here finds Louis playing Ellington compositions with Duke on piano and backed by Louis' own All Stars - minus, of course, the combo's regular pianist Billy Kyle. I bought it for the BTS interview and pictures and I am not disappointed! The interviews with each member are thoughtful and good. I only wish I could purchase the special edition 8 magazine set.
Haven't watched it yet; I buy LOTS of movies, and it can be weeks, even months, before I get to this one. I like the main actress, having seen her in 2 other films, and was glad to see she's also in one of the other 2 films I ordered from you. All 3 arrived in EXCELLENT condition!!
