The plight of the sharecropper is investigated, stuck in a never ending cycle of poverty and dependency on the landowners. When the sharecroppers attempt to organize, unemployment, beatings and murder are the result. Beautifully shot on location and using locals as talent, this short is a fascinating snapshot of a problematic and troubling time in United States history.
