Lionel Hampton, the master of the jazz vibraphone, is one of the most important figures in jazz history, with a career that spanned almost seven decades, working with such luminaries as Benny Goodman and Buddy Rich to Charlie Parker and Quincy Jones. This rare mid-sixties recording finds Hamp in fine form, performing classic tunes from Ellington, Gershwin, Jobim and others. The album closes with "Flying Home," Hamp's signature tune from his days with the Benny Goodman orchestra. All selections newly remastered.

This is a very good CD. I enjoy listing to music from the 50's 60's 70' and the 80's.
The CD is very good. I enjoy listing to music from the time I was growing up and while I was in the Air Force.
