Levee Songsters - Our Love Is a Vow / Walkie Talkie Baby Music CD

Originally released as by the Teen tones in 1958, "Our Love Is a Vow" was reissued in 1959 as by the Levee Songsters even though the vocal groups were one and the same and the same master was used for both releases. To make matters more confusing, the Brooklyn based group was better known as the Mello Harps and the original group - Daniel Elder, Bobby Hawkins, Ron Fox, Arnold Malone, and Vernon Staley - cut their first version of "Love is a Vow" for Morty Craft's Do Re Mi label in 1955. Presented here is the ultra rare 1959 release featuring "Our Love Is a Vow" on the "A" side and "Walkie Talkie Baby" on the flip. Finally available in the digital domain, the original 45 issue has been newly remastered.
