Not to be confused with the legendary jazz saxophonist of the same name, Lester Young was a talented R&B singer who recorded in the 1960's, often billed as Lester Young and The California Playboys. Although Lester never recorded an album, he released a fair amount of 45 RPM singles stretching from the early to late 1960's. Among these singles were early novelty dance tunes such as "Funky Funky Horse," "Wobble Time" and "Road Runner," along with soulful ballads like "Walkin' Down A Lonely Street" and "I'll Forever Love You." Presented here for the first time are the complete known recordings of this fine yet obscure singer. All selections are newly remastered
