1977 gem 'Les "Là-Bas” by french jazz legend Henri Texier. Texier began his career at age 15 playing piano in nightclubs, but he soon switched to bass in order to play in the big band of Jef Gilson. Over the years he has gained recognition for his work in developing a type of jazz that is uniquely French and not beholden to American models. This Record Store Day official 12" release includes the Bonobo remix and the original by Texier. Artwork designed by the excellent Leif Podhajsky, who did the The North Borders artwork for Bonobo.
