The Danish composer Anders Koppel's musical collaboration with his son, saxophonistBenjamin Koppel, forms the background for these two unusual concerts with a quiteunique soloist configuration, now released for the first time on CD. In the double concertothe saxophonist meets the classical recorder virtuoso Michala Petri in a fantastic interplayof tradition, improvisation and tonal diversity, while the triple concerto features thewarm sound of the mezzo saxophone as framed by cello and harp, played here by thesoloists Eugene Hye-Knudsen and Tine Rehling.
