Primarily known as a jazz/cabaret singer, Kitty White was a nightclub favorite among audiences in Los Angeles throughout the 1950's and 60's. She recorded mostly on the west coast with top jazz musicians and appeared on film and television. This rare album recorded in 1962 features Kitty in an entirely different setting, performing folk songs and folk flavored contemporary tunes. She is supported by an amazing trio here; Laurindo Almeida on guitar, Buddy Collette's flute and Red Mitchell on bass. All selections have been newly remastered.
