Formed in Greater Manchester, England in the mid-1980 's, alternative rockers King of the Slums featured the talents of writer Charley Keigher aka Charlie Keighera (vocals, guitar) and Sarah Curtis (electric violin). The band's unique sound earned them praise from the English music press and over 200 live performances gained them a large cult following. The band released 3 critically albums; Barbarous English Fayre (1989), Dandelions (1989), and Blowsy Weirdos (1991). Featured here is the "Joy" EP, originally released in 1991, containing 2 versions of the song "Joy" from the Blowsy Weirdos album; plus the previously unreleased "Don't Comp Yer Vibes." All selections newly re-mastered.
