Jimmy Witherspoon & Robben Ford – Live at the Troubadour 1972 (Cobalt Blue Vinyl – RSD Exclusive)
Blues Hall of Fame vocalist Jimmy Witherspoon joins forces with future guitar legend Robben Ford in this electrifying previously unreleased live performance from Hollywood’s famed Troubadour, recorded in March 1972.
Captured during a radio broadcast, this rare set features nine dynamic tracks—three Witherspoon originals alongside blues classics penned by Willie Dixon, Sonny Boy Williamson, and Leiber & Stoller. It’s one of the earliest-known recordings of Robben Ford, then just beginning a prolific career that would span collaborations with Steely Dan, Miles Davis, and over 25 solo albums.
Pressed on limited-edition cobalt blue vinyl, this Record Store Day exclusive is an essential addition for blues collectors and fans of both artists.
