Led by marimba player Julius Wechter, The Baja Marimba Band was initially formed by producer Herb Alpert who had previously worked with Wechter on Alpert's debut album with Tijuana Brass, "Lonely Bull." Wechter later composed Alpert's hit "Spanish Flea," and was persuaded by Alpert to form his own band with the same vibe as the Tijuana Brass. The Baja Marimba Band ended up outlasting the Tijuana Brass by several years and released over a dozen albums between 1964 and 1990. Presented here is the classic BMB album "Naturally," originally released in 1982, newly remastered and finally available in the digital domain.
