Jude Johnstone has gone a step further toward intimacy on her new and eight album for independent label BoJak Records. She and engineer/producer Michael Hanson recorded the album with no isolation, no frills, in her house in East Nashville, Tennessee. The result is a spare and achingly honest set of ten songs aptly entitled "Living Room." Jude has received numerous awards with her profound, emotional and heartfelt songs over a stellar career spanning 40 years. A testament to her talent is the artists who have covered her songs including Johnny Cash, Stevie Nicks, Bette Midler, Emmylou Harris, Trisha Yearwood, Bonnier Raitt and Mary Black. With "Living Room," Jude delivers songs consistent with her reputation of artistic truth; while offering several songs from a male perspective with vocals provided by artists Ben Glover, Hunter Nelson, Brandon Jesse and Tim Hockenberry.
