The Cuban +-migr+- Juanito Ayala was a well known and highly respected singer and pianist living in Miami following the Cuban embargo of 1959. Ayala became quite popular in the 60's and 70's usually performing with a small combo. He was highly respected among musicians and developed a large following in the clubs of Little Havana and Hialeah. This album recorded in the early-1980's, features "Ladron de Amor," the theme to the popular Spanish language soap opera "Leonela," a Venezuelan telenovela that was popular not only in Miami, but in other urban cities across the US with large Latin populations. All selections newly remastered.
