Boogaloo Down Broadway was only the first of the fantastic Johnny C's chart records, to be followed by "Got What You Need" and "Hitch It to the Horse." Johnny Corley's fateful meeting with producer/songwriter Jesse James resulted in five singles and a well-received album. Their singles included such hard-to-find recordings as "Cool Broadway" and "Some Kind of Wonderful." Years later and on his own, using prominent Philadelphia music creators involved with the rise of the Philly Sound, Johnny C made the classic "Waitin' for the Rain" and "Don't Depend on Me" as well as the rare "I'm a Man" and "Just Say the Word."
