Social historian and folksinger Joe Glazer here presents 15 songs reflecting the dreams, aspirations, and struggles of some of the immigrant groups that have come to America-Irish, Scandinavian, Jewish, Central European, and Mexican. Originally recorded and released on Glazer's label, Collector Records, the album includes songs written by Woody Guthrie and Oscar Brand as well as Glazer himself. This recording is one of 20 albums by Joe Glazer in the Smithsonian Folkways collection. The liner notes are from the original Collector Records cassette and contain brief information about each song.
