Both tracks are reimaginings of songs originally featured on the first volume of the Madlib Invazion Music Library Series, giving them new life with Mophono’s innovative production techniques and gritty funk aesthetic. Known for his love of retro funk and hard-hitting rhythms, Mophono didn’t stop at just one remix—he eagerly tackled two distinct reinterpretations of the same project, showcasing his versatility and respect for Whitefield’s original compositions.
