I Hear the Wind in the Wires is a follow up to Jim Byrnes' Juno award winning blues album Everywhere West. As Jim grew up, he knew no boundaries of music and artists. From his parents record collection, he heard good music, albeit Hank Williams or Ella Fitzgerald or Muddy Waters or Gene Autry or Glenn Miller without considering it Pop or Country or Blues or Big Band or Cowboy. With I Hear the Wind in the Wires ventures into the world of classic 1960's inspired country, including songs by Buck Owens, Hank Snow, Dolly Parton and many more country classics, while maintaining a strong sense of Jim's earliest roots and blues influences.
