Jesse Colin Young was one of the founding members of The Youngbloods, and had even bigger success as a solo artist, having numerous charting albums throughout the 1970s on Warner Brothers Records. In 1978 he switched over to Elektra Records and released American Dreams which reached the Billboard charts. This album features the 17 minute "American Dreams Suite".
