About the Artist: Jeff Yantz is a Michigan born Indie Singer-Songwriter with that Folk Pop Rock 'Splash of Skiffle' sound! He is known for his straight forward style, honest vocals, harmonica wailings and his occasional cutting humor. Jeff's solo EP titled 'Dance in the Rain' is Co- Produced with Yantz by An American Underdog pop master Andy Reed who plays a good bit on most tracks. This is his second release as a solo artist and is a statement to his ability to write a broad range of musical styles. His work ranges from folk pop to gritty rock to gospel-like and back again. With a penchant to create songs that are sad and funny at the same time he's learned that 'Life's not about getting out of the storm... It's about learning to Dance in the Rain!' Biography When Jerome and Dianne Yantz bought a 1968 used Slingerland golden sparkle drum set from a local music store in 1978 it was all over.... and he has been involved in music ever since! He's been blessed to play with some great musicians... record some 6 projects and shared the stage some evenings with Grammy winning artists. The Slingerland Radio King gold sparkle drum set was a good investment. He was a founding member of the folk rock band One Trick Ponies in the Mid 1990's along with songwriting partner Ted Hoogland and has recorded three albums (Midland Street...Above Mary's 1995, All Alone Together 1996, and Landmark 2003) with the group. With a library of original songs spanning 21 years Jeff Yantz has live performances that feel like he is sitting in your front room playing 'his stuff' personally for you. In these times when our world is pulling itself up by it's bootstraps Jeff Yantz's sad funny optimism just may be the singer-songwriter to make you 'smile'.
