Backed by stellar musicians, Terri Lyne Carrington on drums, Tim Ray on piano, John Repucci on bass, and John Baboian, Shapiro floats through these songs with ease . Her intimate interpretation of Irving Berlin's standard 'Change Partners' makes you feel as if she is singing right to you. In fact, the whole CD sounds like she is singing directly to you! Jan has performed as a live performer for many years,as well as a studio vocalist in her early career. Originally from St. Louis Missouri, she lives and teaches in Boston, where she holds the position of Voice Dept. Chair at Berklee College of Music, Boston, Ma.

This is a very good CD. I enjoy listing to music from the 50's 60's 70' and the 80's.
The CD is very good. I enjoy listing to music from the time I was growing up and while I was in the Air Force.
