Catch a wave with the new stereo mix of the Beach Boys' "Surfin' Safari" that spreads the vocals left and right, just as it would have been mixed in 1962. As with all the volumes in this series, variety abounds, from the Texas soul of Barbara Lynn ("You'll Lose a Good Thing") to the British Invasion balladry of the first Moody Blues hit ("Go Now!"). Thrill to R&B classics like Maurice Williams' "Stay," the vocal harmonies of the Vogues' "You're the One," the sky-high falsetto vocals of Dick & DeeDee's "The Mountain's High," and one of Gene Pitney's most rockin' hits, "It Hurts to Be in Love."
