George Frideric Handel's opera Admeto was composed for the Royal Academy of Music. The work, with Italian libretto by Nicola Hyam, premiered in 1727. The work is partly based on Euripides' Alcestis. For this production, Oscar nominated film director Doris Dorrie creates vivid scenery and brilliant sets to immerse the viewer in the ritualized world of the samurai. Packaging is what you'd expect. Thick cardboard vinyl record sized. Record arrived in perfect condition. This is a great album. I Prevail knocked it out of the park on this one. The transparent blood shot vinyl is super cool and quite a statement piece. Looking forward to listening session with this one in queue.
