The program features a compelling combination of some of the essential pillars of the oboe repertoire (Schumann and Poulenc) as well as an exciting rediscovery, the Suite by Pavel Haas. Katherine Needleman plays the first recording of David Ludwig's Pléaden with particular commitment, a sonata in seven movements dedicated to her. What all of these works have in common is a message of hope, interpreted at the highest level - very highly recommended!

This is a very good CD. I enjoy listing to music from the 50's 60's 70' and the 80's.
The CD is very good. I enjoy listing to music from the time I was growing up and while I was in the Air Force.
