Featured here is the music you would have heard in the clubs in the young, Italian working class sections of New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia in the mid to late 80's and early 90's. Freestyle music was extremely popular among this prideful and macho crowd who dominated the clubs of Brooklyn, the Bronx, South Philly, North Jersey, Boston's North End and other areas in the Northeast. This compilation focuses on the hits that were bubbling in the clubs during this period and features some of the biggest Freestyle and early Hip-Hop tracks of the day by top artists such as Freestyle King Stevie B, to Hip-Hop pioneer Afrika Bambaataa. All selections newly re-mastered.
