Widely considered one of the most inspired and celebrated shows of the Dead's final decade, the 6/17/91 Giants Stadium performance fires on all cylinders from the opening notes. The setlist is filled with both beloved classics and genuine rarities — and at the center of it all, Dark Star weaves in and out throughout the show, making no less than six distinct appearances including during the first set.
Rarities like "Saint of Circumstance," "Might As Well," "New Speedway Boogie," and "China Doll" sit alongside perennials like "Truckin'," "Uncle John's Band," and "Eyes of the World" — which opens the show in shocking fashion and sets the tone for everything that follows. The Band's "The Weight" closes the night as an encore, the perfect sendoff for one of the Dead's most highly regarded shows. The lineup that night: Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Vince Welnick, and Bruce Hornsby.

This is a very good CD. I enjoy listing to music from the 50's 60's 70' and the 80's.
