Two of the members of Get Set Go grew up in Palm Desert, CA, and their first band, the Spriggans, were part of the "generator" band scene that spawned groups such as Queens of the Stone Age, Brant Bjork and the Operators, Fatso Jetson, Mondo Generator, and Eagles of Death Rock. Get Set Go is one of the three founders of the Launchpad scene, Los Angeles' seminal indie-rock community based at Mr. T's Bowl, Spaceland, the Echo, and the Knitting Factory. Other noteworthy bands to come from that scene include Arlo (SubPop), Vendetta Red (Epic), Electric Eel Shock (Eat Rice), and Critter Jones (Maverick). Get Set Go have played hundreds of shows in their five year history and shared the stage with the Breeders, Ozomatli, Geggy Tah and others.
