Country music existed before and after George Jones, but there are very few artists who have left the kind of impact he did on the genre. Gusto Records is proud to present 20 SUPER HITS on this fabulous TeeVee collection of George Jones' Gospel recordings. In 1968, Jones' "Small Time Laboring Man" was a #38-hit. The touching song is about the dignity of a hard working man who toils six days a week, but finally finds peace on his day of rest with his family. "Family Bible" is a classic George Jones Gospel hit, landing at #16 on the charts in 1961. The heartwarming song extols the positive influence the Bible can have on a family. "Old Brush Arbors," a #30-hit in 1966, takes US back to an earlier time in our great country's history when traveling evangelists preached the good news of the Gospel message from humble structures erected from willow branches.
