A popular piano trio throughout the 1950's and 1960's, the Frankie Ortega Trio were a popular attraction and regularly appeared on the classic TV show of the late 1950's and early 1960's "77 Sunset Strip." Originally released in 1978, "Smokin'" features Ortega on piano; the great Peruvian percussionist Alex Acuna on drums and Bob Magnusson on bass. All selections newly re-mastered.
