Francesco Bearzatti is a Coltrane disciple and Dear John a love letter to the master. Bearzatti doesn't just copy Coltrane's sound and signature techniques. Together with pianist Benjamin Moussay and drummer Roberto Gatto, they pay homage to the legacy. The music is mostly Bearzatti's own, but with a re imagined version of Coltrane's "Dear Lord" and the traditional "One Love" as the climax.

This is a very good CD. I enjoy listing to music from the 50's 60's 70' and the 80's.
