This is the long out-of-print Original Cast Recording of the 1996 off-Broadway production of Adam Guettel's Floyd Collins. Applauded by both music and theater critics following it's off-Broadway premiere, Adam Guettel's Floyd Collins was hailed as the dawn of an important new voice in American theater. The music, a synthesis of bluegrass, country, and Broadway, ranges from tuneful ballads to up-tempo ensemble numbers, which The Wall Street Journal called a "masterpiece." Now, almost 30 years since it first appeared off-Broadway, the show finally makes it's Broadway debut at Lincoln Center Theater, starring Jeremy Jordan as the titular character.
