FIRST WORLDWIDE REISSUE OF THIS SOUGHT AFTER ALBUM. "I Got The FEVER... it started in my soul, I Got The FEVER... it's burning out of control." "I Got The Fever" is undoubtedly a classic, a spirit-lifter, energiser, feel-gooder, floor-filler. We are blessed that both the Carolina's and the UK Northern Soul scene championed the song. It certainly set the dancefloor's alight, and it is the most requested Beach Music record of all time! But The Georgia Prophets were much more than a one-hit wonder. They were a hugely successful live act and recorded a number of singles. They hailed from Augusta, Georgia and came together in 1965 featuring, future husband and wife, lead singers Billy and Barbara Scott. In late '68 they released their lone album 'Fever'- reissued here worldwide for the first time. The album included original new material, earlier recordings and the now legendary 'Got The Fever.' It was deservedly a regional success but sadly marked the end of the line for the group. By the time that Bill Buster released the remastered version of on his Eric label in 1971 the band were long gone. It reputedly sold 500,000 copies in the USA!!!
