One of the cornerstone figures of R&B?and R&R, ANTOINE "FATS" DOMINO recorded 'The Fat Man' - the first million-selling Rock & Roll record - in December 1949, at the tender age of twenty-one. His distinctive rolling piano style proved irresistible, and he was soon being copied by half the piano-players in New Orleans. This compilation features him as a sideman, accompanying other artists, with the exception of four powerful instrumental rarities from Fats' own early catalogue, which spiritually feel as though they belong in this company. The key people in Fats' career were trumpeter/bandleader/arranger/songwriter/producer Dave Bartholomew, with whom he wrote most of his hits, and producer/engineer Cosima Matassa, in whose modest recording studio they were recorded. Other artists featured herein include Big Joe Turner, Lloyd Price, Smiley Lewis, Pee Wee Crayton and Roy Brown.

I bought it for the BTS interview and pictures and I am not disappointed! The interviews with each member are thoughtful and good. I only wish I could purchase the special edition 8 magazine set.
Haven't watched it yet; I buy LOTS of movies, and it can be weeks, even months, before I get to this one. I like the main actress, having seen her in 2 other films, and was glad to see she's also in one of the other 2 films I ordered from you. All 3 arrived in EXCELLENT condition!!
