The band has spent two decades refining a formula that shouldn't work as well as it does, Neue Deutsche Härte's mechanical aggression fused to electro rhythms danceable enough for a club floor, all of it carried by Alexx Wesselsky's voice, which can go from a growl to something genuinely vulnerable inside the same verse. This 2015 record is Eisbrecher pushing that contrast harder than ever, brutal arrangements paired with lyrics that refuse the genre's usual detachment.

Volle Kraft Voraus opens the album at full throttle, guitars and programmed beats fighting for the same space and somehow finding room for both. The title track is the record's emotional centre, Wesselsky's delivery turning genuine distress into something you can move to, while Rot Wie die Liebe slows the tempo without losing any of the weight. Der Flieger closes things on the album's most unexpectedly tender note, proof the brutality was never the whole story.
