This here is the first ever complete recording of the published film score by Dmitry Shostakovich! Written in the early 1960s for Kozintsev's film (which won several film festival prizes), this score was used for a number of ballets based on Hamlet, and includes music not used in the final cut of the film! The Russian Philharmonic Orchestra brings the music fully to life.
