Up High is the wide-release debut by New Orleans quartet Dinola. Up High was produced by Dave Catching (QOTSA, Eagles of Death Metal) at his Rancho del la Luna Studio in Joshua Tree, CA, was engineered by Hayden Scott (AWOLNATION, Arctic Monkeys), and also features some guest guitar work by Catching. Clocking in at 22 minutes, Up High sports the active rock radio-ready title track alongside four other originals and the band's take on the Screamin' Jay Hawkins' classic 'I Put A Spell On You'. Musically Dinola fall under the stoner/desert/hard rock banner but also stays true to their Crescent City roots as the tunes also remember the "roll" part of the rock'n'roll equation. Think of them as a stripped down, sultry, female fronted version of your favorite heavy British Blues band.
