Dennis A. Mayer - You'll Need Someone [CD]

Dennis Mayer/Singer-Songwriter/St Pete Florida Favorite tunes are easy on the ear with lyrics about traveling alone and searching for home. There are sweet notes throughout telling stories from bars, lovers and dreams. There is a profound pathos to the lyrics of most although there are a couple of light hearted tunes. The accompanying musicians are first rate. N S Rockwell a session musician with passion (lead guitar and bass) who used to tour but now almost exclusively teaches and Tom Staley, a very talented drummer who used to play for NRBQ but now has his own band. This is a great collection of original songs. Though the melodies are compelling enough, the lyrics are moving and memorable. Another album is in the works which has a little more folk in it and should be coming out within the year. Dennis is a sailor, animal lover a friend of the earth and is in harmony with all those who sometimes feel the weight of being alone.
