It's been more than 5 years since Deez Nuts released 'You Got The Fucked Up'. With 'Saudade' a different band is dropping an album into a world that has radically changed. Singer JJ Peters and guitarist RealBad are now accompanied by Apolinário 'Poli' Correia (Devil In Me, Sam Alone & The Gravediggers, Portugal) and Jesse Labovitz (No Warning, Canada) which makes their line-up even more international than before. Saudade is a Portuguese and Galician term that describes a deep emotional state of melancholic longing for someone or something that is absent. This feeling is often linked with the understanding that the object of longing might never come back again. The word Saudade covers memories of feelings, experiences, places, or events that evoke a sense of separation from the joy they once brought. While Deez Nuts used to represent infamous, hedonistic lyrics these have shifted to highly personal ones telling stories mainly from the past five years.
