The Dead Mall feigns southern college-rock while staying dangerously close to their 3-piece punk roots. Their sophomore effort "The Restaurant" was mixed by Collin Pastore (Lucy Dacus, Illuminati Hotties) and mastered by Preston Cochran (bassist of The Dead Mall, credits include Lucy Dacus and Darrin Bradbury). Ryan Sobb and Alex Rodriguez make the remainder of the band on guitar and drums. Sobb's first guitar was a Costco 3/4 sized tuned by his uncle, Chris Ewen, long-time member of The Magnetic fields. After studying music in Birmingham he moved to Nashville and worked at a frame shop that would become the backdrop for the making of The Restaurant.
