This disc features fine performances from such jazz luminaries as Red Nichols, Phil Napoleon, Leo McConville, and Donald Lindley (trumpet); Miff Mole, Abe Lincoln, Chuck Campbell, Sam Ruby, and Herb Winfield (trombone); Bobby Davis, Frankie Ward, and Pete Pumiglio (reeds); Adrian Rollini and Spencer Clark (bass sax); Eddie Lang and Dick McDonough (guitar); Jack Russin, Bill Krenz, and Arthur Schutt (piano) and Vic Berton, Tom Stacks, and David Grupp (drums). The lavish 32-page booklet features in-depth liner notes by Mark Berresford and copious illustrations. Fresh restorations from original sources by renowned engineer Nick Dellow for superb sound. 79 minutes.
