The hot new dance dance collective known as the Crescent Street Hustlers are on a mission to revive and modernize the Montreal disco scene, celebrating the great dance music that thrived in that city primarily in the late 1970s, at the height of the global disco explosion. One of the most original and colorful bands of that era, The Great Disco Bouzouki Band, married the unlikely sounds of Greek Bouzouki music to disco music, and it worked beautifully, exposing the fact that these two forms of music, above all else, was dance music at it's core. Looking back, it is not surprising that The Great Disco Bouzouki Band scored a hit with "Disco Bouzouki."
