Constancia - Iv Evermore [CD]

Constancia was founded in 2007 by former Token keyboardist Mikael Rosengren. Janne Stark (Overdrive, Grand Design, Locomotive Breath, Merryweather Stark) joined the band, Peter "TrumPeter" Svensson (Mercy, Faith, Overheat, Locomotive Breath, Mountain of Power) on drums and bassist Michael Müller (Jaded Heart) and vocalist David Fremberg (Andromeda) completed the band. The band describes their music as "melogressive hard rock" - melodic, a little progressive and a little aggressive. On the 2015 album Linus Abrahamson (Andromeda) joined as a new bassist, on the third album "Brave New World" the British singer Pete Godfrey (In Faith, Blood Red Saints) replaced David Fremberg "IV Evermore" contains twelve new songs that show the band on an even higher level. Some songs have a more aggressive punch with heavier riffs, but the high level of melodies and hooks is maintained. A song like "Build This House" could probably have been a big hit in the 80s, while a song like "Evermore" features some heavy, crisp, and out-of-tune guitars.
