Little known outside of Peru, the great Coco Lagos was a naturally talented multi-percussionist who reigned as king of the Peruvian beat in the late 60s and early 70s. This album, released in 1970, two years after his debut on the great Peruvian MAG label, is solid Descarga/Boogaloo with Cuban and Latin jazz leanings. Check out great tracks like "Guajira Boogaloo" and "Coco's Descarga". And check out his all-star band, with none other than Mario Allison on timbales and Alfredo Linares on piano.

This is a very good CD. I enjoy listing to music from the 50's 60's 70' and the 80's.
The CD is very good. I enjoy listing to music from the time I was growing up and while I was in the Air Force.
