Circuit des Yeux - Halo On The Inside Vinyl Record

Circuit des Yeux, the avant-garde project of Chicago's Haley Fohr, is set to release their latest album, Halo on the Inside, on March 14, 2025. This vinyl edition, pressed on classic black wax, showcases Fohr's expansive four-octave vocal range and innovative compositions.

The album opens with "Megaloner," a track that melds electro-stomp rhythms with a surreal atmosphere, reflecting themes of endurance and fate. Following is "Canopy of Eden," a pulsating piece reminiscent of a John Carpenter-esque slasher rave, where Fohr declares, "I can make a radio break."

Other standout tracks include "Anthem of Me," with its sci-fi pads and bit-crushed distortions, and "Cathexis," which features a cathartic guitar coda complementing Fohr's siren-like vocals.

Halo on the Inside was crafted during late-night sessions in Fohr's Chicago studio, allowing for uninhibited exploration of new sounds and tools. The album was completed in collaboration with producer Andrew Broder in Minneapolis, resulting in a rhapsodic, hedonistic wall of sound that defies easy categorization.
