Surfer, songwriter and devoted yogi Christopher Hawley has released his feel-good California roots-pop record called Stories. Originally the frontman of Mucis, a Colorado-band who signed to a major label and toured nationally in a retrofitted school bus, Hawley went solo following the bands split. Stories perfectly captures a laid-back, mellowed-out California beach vibe. Written and recorded with Randy Wooten, the main force behind the bands Willodean & The Gin Pennies, Stories is the perfect record to kick off the summer.
