Recorded during the Bossa Nova craze of the early 1960's, the recording presented here teamed Cannonball Adderley, one of America's preeminent jazz alto sax players, with Sergio Mendes, the most popular Brazilian artist of that decade, to produce one of the best fusions of Brazilian music and Jazz ever presented. Recorded in New York City in December of 1962, the personnel on this classic recording are Pedro Paulo (trumpet); Julian "Cannonball" Adderley, Paulo Moura (alto sax); Sergio Mendes (piano); Durval Ferreira (guitar); Octavio Bailly Jr. (bass) and Dom Um Romao (drums). This is a very good CD. I enjoy listing to music from the 50's 60's 70' and the 80's.
The CD is very good. I enjoy listing to music from the time I was growing up and while I was in the Air Force.
