Recorded during the Bossa Nova craze of the early 1960's, the recording presented here teamed Cannonball Adderley, one of America's preeminent jazz alto sax players, with Sergio Mendes, the most popular Brazilian artist of that decade, to produce one of the best fusions of Brazilian music and Jazz ever presented. Recorded in New York City in December of 1962, the personnel on this classic recording are Pedro Paulo (trumpet); Julian "Cannonball" Adderley, Paulo Moura (alto sax); Sergio Mendes (piano); Durval Ferreira (guitar); Octavio Bailly Jr. (bass) and Dom Um Romao (drums).
