Bruckner's Seventh Symphony is a deeply lyrical work, and it is known as the work that single-handedly brought him fame for his masterful compositional technique. The Eighth Symphony is also the largest of Bruckner's symphonies and is full of beautiful poetry and majesty. Performances by conductor Sir Georg Solti (1912-1997) and the Vienna Philharmonic reveal the true appeal of these two symphonies. The Siegfried Pastorale, which is included with No. 7, is a rare original coupling.

This is a very good CD. I enjoy listing to music from the 50's 60's 70' and the 80's.
The CD is very good. I enjoy listing to music from the time I was growing up and while I was in the Air Force.
