A new expanded and remastered 5CD clamshell box set edition of this classic album. Includes two complete concerts recorded at The Bottom Line, New York City in March 1980 and in Denver, Colorado in November 1980. Continuing the series of releases by the legendary Jack Bruce, an expanded and remastered 5CD set of the acclaimed 1980 album 'I've Always Wanted To Do This'. Credited to Jack Bruce & Friends, this wonderful album saw Jack joined by celebrated musicians Clem Clempson (Guitar), David Sancious (Keyboards, Guitar) and Billy Cobham (drums). Jack first assembled the band in the early months of 1980 and, following a successful series of concerts at The Bottom Line in New York City in March that year, the band recorded 'I've Always Wanted To Do This'. The album was a fine blend of rock and jazz fusion influences and featured ten songs, mostly written by Jack Bruce and his long-time lyricist Pete Brown, but also featuring contributions from Clem Clempson and David Sancious. To promote the release of the album in the winter of 1980, Jack Bruce & Friends toured extensively in the USA and Europe before disbanding. This new clamshell box set features a new remaster of 'I've Always Wanted To Do This' along with an additional four CDs comprising two complete concerts recorded at The Bottom Line, New York in March 1980 and at The Rainbow Music Hall in Denver in November 1980.
