The music is based on Daniel Boyacioglu and Mathias Landaeus Trio's albums Bon for varlden (Prayer for the World) and alska oss nu (Love Us Now), but here takes on entirely new dimensions in arrangements for big band.This Time is a concert that moves straight into the fractures and connections of the present moment. With Daniel Boyacioglu's poetic texts as a starting point, it reflects questions of identity, belonging, love, and power - where the personal is inseparably intertwined with the political. It is an observation of the now, marked by vulnerability and resistance, where anger, tenderness, humour, and prayer exist side by side. Together with Mathias Landaeus's sensitive improvisations and the powerful soundscapes of the Bohuslan Big Band, the words become both fragile and monumental - a shared attempt to understand this time, while we are living in it. Daniel and Mathias first met on the stage of Fasching in the early 2000s. Since then, they have built both a deep friendship and an artistic brotherhood. Now they are taking the next step, opening the door to a new musical encounter - together with the Bohuslan Big Band.
