In June of 1963, Big Joe Williams stepped into Chicago's Pickle Factory, bringing his fierce, unfiltered blues to a crowd ready for the raw, unpolished power only he could deliver. Recorded by legendary blues producer Norman Dayron in Chicago, this performance captures the pure essence of Williams' nine-string guitar in an intimate setting performing a sound that resonated like a call from the Mississippi Delta, but with the sharp bite of Chicago's electric blues.
