Halfway to Heaven: The Best of the Blow Monkeys & Dr Robert is a retrospective collection featuring three separately themed CDs; the Best of the Blow Monkeys (the first career-spanning collection), the Best of Dr Robert, and a fully re-mastered recording of their renowned 1984 Hammersmith Palais concert in it's entirety. The release comes in a deluxe digipak with a 20 page booklet, featuring extensive new liner notes. The Blow Monkeys' enduring career began in July 1981, after which the band released five studio albums. When the group disbanded in 1990, Dr Robert went on to carve a successful solo career; he has released several critically acclaimed solo albums. The Blow Monkeys thrilled fans by reforming in 2008 and released a brand new album. Halfway to Heaven track the band's entire career with their biggest hits, and the essential solo tracks from Dr Robert. Sony. 2013.
